"At the request of President Xi"? I thought we were gonna see some motherfricking leverage. Art of the deal type shite. Instead Xi told Trump "my offer is nothing" and he backed down like a dog. Sad!
(In all seriousness, this is a good thing. But it makes the Taiwan flap that much more pointless.)

We already caved any leverage we could have received from it before negotiations on anything began..........so I'd say at best it was an uninformed blunder at worst it shows weakness in a key area Trump says he adds value in.
