I told my wife this very thing this week. The liberals wouldn't know what to do with themselves. I'm sure they'd spin it into a war on minorities or something. It's been funny listening to them trash the tariffs and NAFTA renegotiation since they've been clamoring for it for years.

I think the issue will likely be left alone, just as Obama pretty much left it alone. Despite changing attitudes and a large majority of the American public screaming for legalization, it's still political dynamite.

What about the Federal laws that govern it? You can't have state laws that are recognized & ignore the Fed laws.
I don't care if they legalize it or not but I wish we would solve all the other problems first.

The issue has been dangling out there for each political party to take at the national level but neither have the balls.

I'd prefer it if Trump floated the idea out there and let an up and coming congressman propose legislation to reclassify it, but it would be amazing to see a lot of my friends that have been so anti-Trump suddenly change their tune when he's on the same side of an issue they care much more about than immigration
