Seriously? Is well done that popular?

I was pretty amazed when I started working at a 4 star hotel and still saw the same frequency of well done steaks as I did working at an IHOP. Apparently even folks who eat out regulary do this. It would piss our chefs off to no end. I don't even order my burgers well done, so I can't explain it.

Seriously, if you just want to piss someone off, go to a really nice restaurant and order anything with a temp well done. The chef might even throw something when the ticket rings up.

Medium rare is the optimal way to order a steak like that unless you like to chew on rubber.

That's a total waste of that steak, but you'd be amazed by how many people do it.

It's not a waste if they like it. Steak can be bland.

I love when people tells others how they should enjoy their food.

Why would you ever order a filet well done?

Because they never give you what you ordered. It helps prevent getting one rare when you really want one medium well.

I'd argue that you should just eat something else. Ordering a well done steak just means you don't actually like steak and you just ordered it because it's expensive. I mean, do what you want, but no one believes you really like the taste better.

Pretty pointless topic IMO, but the politards made a pretty amusing thread out of it.

If they are screwing it up that badly, you should stop ordering steaks there.

This. I've ordered one medium well and it was still damn near bloody. Next trip there, I ordered it well done and it was perfect medium well. I like it pink, not bloody.

Trump should now demand all of his steaks to be cooked in boiling water in order to rustle jimmies to ever greater degrees.

That's frustrating. What restaurant is this? Maybe they should stick with hamburgers.

That's a tiny bit of myoglobin mixed with water, not blood. All of the blood is drained during the butchering process.

If you want a steak more done than medium, just admit you don't like steak, and order chicken. If you think you need to order your steak well done to get medium, eat somewhere else.

I mean, or you can admit you were wrong in thinking you had blood on your plate. But to each his own

So me saying it was "damn near bloody" meant it was literally gushing blood? GFY

last night, President Trump reportedly ate a well-done steak with ketchup.

Now that is a valid reason to impeach him.

Theres not a whole lot better than a juicy steak and baked potato. But if its the next day and theres a left over steak in my fridge ill cut it up and heat it up with some A1 and toss it on a sandwich with tosted buns and a few other fixins. Nice way to eat it second day.
