To what do you attribute the overwhelming negative media coverage towards Trump?

Generally you're seeing several networks with 90%+ of negative coverage towards Trump since election.

If you were to believe the general media, 9/10 things Trump does is negative.

Little to no discussion of the booming stock market, jobs created, etc. it's all about russia, phone calls, and any meeting Trump or anyone tied to Trump has had with anyone from Eastern Europe.

Personally, I think it's a combo of extreme liberal bias within the media/it's writers and the fact that salacious and sensational national enquirer-style headlines are more attention grabbing than articles about the Dow Jones.

The average person is infinitely more affected by the rise and fall of the stock market and job market than whatever meeting DJTJr had with whatever Russian related talent manager.

he is embroiled in controversies, health care overhaul attempts have failed, and he doesn't have any major legislative victories.

neutral coverage of negative events is not "negative media coverage". if the media reports that a bill failed despite trump's wishes, that is a report of a fact.

The left has done an excellent job of annexing the media and using them as a propaganda machine.

Mostly bullshite puff pieces, but nonetheless, they have a strangle hold on media outlets.

The left doesn't control the media. The establishment controls the left and the media.

He's a Republican.

That said, he feeds the frenzy.

1) He refuses to play their game.

2) He made them look like fricking fools in the election (by not going away, and ultimately winning)

3) He consistently goes around them and won't let them be his filter.

Well...he doesn't help himself with his tweets. He makes it to where all they have to do is copy pasta.

How does this have anything to do with what Trump has done policy wise? I mean what has he specifically done so far that leads you to be able to credit him with this?

All I can really tell is the promise of tax reform which I'm hopeful for but not holding my breath on after this healthcare failure.

I can get behind that statement. Not a conspiracy theorist by any means, but look at the repeal vote. Same story as 2016, different day, different vote tally.

Well outlook on the economy, consumer sentiment both spiked as soon as it was revealed the disgraced former president Obama was being replaced by trump.

Those drive consumer activity which drive the economy.

His deviation from foreign policy orthodoxy. Our media is part and parcel of the American war machine, be it internationalist Democratic hawks or neoconservative Republicans. Trump is no Rand Paul, but he has shown himself to be far less of a hawk than HRC would have been, especially on ending the arming of Syrian rebels. That is an unforgivable sin to the D.C. political establishment.

What's the percentage if you remove any coverage involving his twitter?

You have to take in to account that his use of twitter gives the press much more to work with than past presidents. Some of the negative coverage is self-inflicted.

Obama passed that shitty HC bill then sat in the OO for six straight years and did nothing.

We haven't had a president that passed legislation in a while, champ.
