quote:

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Tuesday said the United States wants to "have a dialogue" with North Korea.

Speaking to reporters at the State Department, Tillerson also appeared to contradict President Trump over China's role in reining in Pyongyang, saying the United States does not hold China responsible for the current situation.

"We certainly don't blame the Chinese for the situation in North Korea," he said. "Only the North Koreans are to blame for this situation.

"We are trying to convey to the North Koreans, we are not your enemy, we are not your threat, but you are presenting an unacceptable threat to us, and we have to respond," he added later. "And we hope that at some point, they would begin to understand that and then we would like to sit and have a dialogue with them about the future that will give them the security they seek and the future economic prosperity for North Korea."

quote:

After the test, Trump lashed out at China, saying on Twitter the country has done "nothing."

"I am very disappointed in China. Our foolish past leaders have allowed them to make hundreds of billions of dollars a year in trade, yet they do NOTHING for us with North Korea, just talk," Trump wrote in a pair of tweets Sunday. "We will no longer allow this to continue. China could easily solve this problem!"

Okay, to all Trump idiots: who is the better leader, Trump or Tillerson? Who is trying to smooth out the situation like a wise diplomat, and who doesn't know what the frick he is doing.

Search your hearts. Time to face reality.

The statements in the OP are not incompatible. North Korea is to blame, but China could do more to end the issue. Both of these things can be true at the same time.

How about some consistency between the President and the State Department? We continue to see incompetence across the board. Few months back he was saying, China wasn't currency manipulators anymore then started up again on China's currency manipulation recently?

The only thing Trump is consistent on is illegals. Then again he wants to try Immigration Reform again.

China should be called out over north korea. It's a country on their doorstep that they refuse to do anything about.

Tillerson is the real deal and is undermined by Trump at every turn. Let the grown ups take care of North Korea and China.

Only thing I can figure is that Tillerson is creating a diversion to throw off NK from our real plans. Otherwise, if he and Trump and going to be putting out completely opposite statements on the same topic, then Tillerson either needs to wise up or just resign.

BTW, Trump is right. NK didn't develop any of this technology on their own. It came from China (who got it from Bill Clinton). The Chinese are absolutely 100% responsible for this.

Russia borders NK but you don't mention them ever?

Go look at a map if you blame China then blame Russia too.

You are quickly becoming one of the worst posters on the board.

I don't mind your anger at the WH, but what's up with you joining the resistance?

You are a quitter, a deserter. Are you just going to spam the board with all this negativity? Who is it helping?

When people on the board continue to back the stupid shite Trump does and says then I can't in good conscious be a part of it. I'm disappointed in you and others I thought had a brain and were better than group think. They were are calling Rand out the other day on HC. The Cabinet has zero Republicans in it you do realize that?

Tillerson, one of the few good things Trump managed to not screw-up.

The guy is the real deal, which of course means Trump will drive him away soon enough.

At this point, how do you know that? What has he done, one way or another, that shows he is good or bad? There has been no test yet.

Tillerson had to take a vacation the other day. Yea, he was considering resigning. When are people on this board going to wake up and realize Trumps management skills fricking suck. I know approval ratings aren't everything but 60% of public believes WH is in chaos.

Trumps up to a +16 Disapproval to Approval Rating on RCP

The only thing that matters is the legislative agenda and Trump is fricking it up.

Please.

He follows Trump around the world cleaning up the Donald's diplomatic messes.

Between him and Mattis they mostly keep Donald out of trouble.

Sometimes you don't need to do anything extraordinary to show how good you are at something.

A calm hand on the tiller does the trick. Tillerson is certainly that.

When times get tough, yyou don't run around with your hair on fire. You put your feet in the ground and you fight.

How do you not understand that?

How are you helping the cause?

I'm honestly surprised that Trump hasn't found the mid 30s.

Tells me just how in his camp his base remains.

Trump should give McCain a big old pat on the back. ACA had gone down it would have cut into his base hard. Most of them were too dumb to realize it.

What cause are you helping exactly?

Do you ever get tired of having to come here and spin Trump's latest tweet, his latest faux pas or his latest lie?

That has to be exhausting for you. Hell any more I look at the morning news and just smile. Every day it is something new.

So tell me again, what cause are you helping?

Maybe because it's been less than 15% through his first term?

I just don't get the mindset. Do you give up on your football team 15% through the season?
