I really think Trump is missing a great opportunity here. It's a local/state issue, I get that. But this is a problem that exceeds their ability financially and demands resolution because of the health issue involved.

If the water isn't potable, why should they have to pay for it?
I feel like this would make for a great lawsuit.

They shouldn't. They should fire the city government runs the water system and put in people that will be accountable.
But that would mean voting out democRats.

The fact they're going after these guys for not paying for poison water says a lot.

This entire situation is a mess. Should if been taken care of long ago, now the federal govt has had to fork over money to assist. Michigan loves those federal bailout monies.

It was taken over by the state.
Though I haven't followed this story in recent months. Was control of it given back to the city?

What's the end goal here? Foreclose on a bunch of properties that aren't worth shite? So they'll recoup little to nothing and put all of these people on the street and then hold deficiency judgments that they'll never see a dime of.
This would be insanely short-sighted.

It was Republican appointed managers under the financial emergency law that made the decision for poisoned water.

It is, the Republican governor appointed a special administrator who fricked their water system.
