The Tweeter-in-Chief

When the tweets first came raining down, I thought it was unbecoming of the leader of the greatest country on earth. I thought he should stop. Since then (with the benefit of hind-sight), I've done a 180. I've gone from "How juvenile" to "OK - now I see". Never did I think that internet jibber-jabber would play such an important part in Trump advancing his agenda. Liberals play hide and seek, surfacing for an indefensible drive-by assault, then retreating back into the shadows. Trump has challenged them to come out into the sunshine and do the 140-debate, and the liberals are out of their element. They have no answer.
"But face it, this is 2017 and we have a president who doesn't have a quill and an ink bowl. He has an iPhone and 140 characters. So do you, so do I. What is hard to come to grips with is this: President Trump is the "tweeter-in-chief." We have a tweeting president, and a very active one at that. I just have not yet gotten used it."
"While he has tweeted the occasional self-described "clinker," the truth is Trump has outsmarted us in the media. He has figured out he can go around us and speak directly to the people. And face it, Trump can do math. He has checked the numbers and realized that an appearance on a successful cable show will get him a few million viewers at best, but his two Twitter accounts? A combined following of more than 45 million followers."

It's not that he tweets, it's what he tweets. It's embarrassing. Sad!

The liberals don't exactly need help embarrassing themselves.

It is helpful that someone with a big platform is exposing them to the lower-information citizens. Otherwise liberal hypocrisy and idiocy doesn't get a lot of play.

Nah, it's the world of electronics. Something tells me that you use it all the time. Why shouldn't he? The same people who disagree with his tweets, contextwise, also disagree with his speeches.
He knows what he's doing. The reason for the uneasiness of his tweets, because he's the first that has used it as a tool to express himself. Some, if not all, presidents of the future will do the same thing.

That more closely describes whatever minion was working Hillary's Twitter page during the campaign.

How much does he have to hate that Obama has 87.2 million?

What does Obama tweet? I honestly don't ever recall seeing one, but I don't follow anyone on twitter.

The Pope tweets too. Trump is literally the Pope.

Liberals always struggled with math and relativity. Thinking in corkscrews has its limits.

I hate his tweeting. It drives me absolutely mad. And yet it seems to blunt the attacks of MSM. So...

Who cares? Twitter is not a popularity contest.

It was in a book I tried a sample of about Obama that Obama interjected himself into past Presidents bios. Obama is jealous of Trump because Obama ruled with twitter FIRST.
quote:
Obama has added bullet points bragging about his own accomplishments to the biographical sketches of every single U.S. president since Calvin Coolidge (except, for some reason, Gerald Ford). Here are a few examples:
On Feb. 22, 1924 Calvin Coolidge became the first president to make a public radio address to the American people. President Coolidge later helped create the Federal Radio Commission, which has now evolved to become the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). President Obama became the first president to hold virtual gatherings and town halls using Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, etc.
In a 1946 letter to the National Urban League, President Truman wrote that the government has “an obligation to see that the civil rights of every citizen are fully and equally protected.” He ended racial segregation in civil service and the armed forces in 1948. Today the Obama administration continues to strive toward upholding the civil rights of its citizens, repealing Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, allowing people of all sexual orientations to serve openly in our armed forces.

I thought most of his followers were fake accounts - paid.
From 2013 - I am sure the numbers did not go down. LINK

Twitter audit says 27% of his followers are fake accounts.

Trump is stooping to their level to beat them, but he could go lower. Will be interesting to see if he does.
