The Solution to the Electoral College

All of these "protestors" and media want to complain about the Electoral College. I have a compromise for them...
Make the Electoral College based on individual counties instead of individual states. The winner of the county's popular vote earns that county's electoral vote(s).
In all honesty, it would be a much fairer and more representative system.
And these whiners may just be stupid enough to accept it

Bring back state legislatures choosing senators as it was intended
It would be almost 70-30 right now

Not counties, but congressional districts, to keep the balance of population for each EV. Then the extra two for each state will go to one candidate if they get over 55% PV in the state, but split between the two if they don't.

This is the closest thing we could move towards, but it leans RED and the left would never accept it.

The solution to the EC is to accept the outcome and stop being stupid.

The Solution to the Electoral College
Step1: Tell the liberal crybabies to quit whining
Step2: Hand them a civics textbook and the Federalist Papers
Step3: Give them a participation trophy so they won't feel bad when they read them.
Step4: MAGA and tell the liberals to f**k off

Per my maps above, keep in mind every district is equally populated. Yes you say "minorities are all concentrated in major cities, in certain areas". Ok, but that doesn't change the make up of our country. It's not fair for a whole state to change cause one or two counties vote one way overwhelmingly. This is the only real fair way.

There is no "Solution". Because there is nothing which is broken or needs to be solved.

You are confirming I am correct?

Gerrymandering makes this such a bad idea. No doubt it would get even worse.
Unless boundries can be set by a completely impartial party and not influenced by the participants that stand to benefit from gerrymandering.

There isn't one.

Leave it alone. Apparently our founding fathers were smarter than 99.6% of people alive today!

Yes they were smart but they never visualized cities becoming as large as they have in almost every state and influencing and dictating the electorate they way they are, it was exactly why the EC was created, just as they never imagined anyone wanting to make a career out of being a politician as to why terms limits for congress were never created in the first place...
These small pockets of blue in some of these states shouldn't carry an entire state blue when these rest of the state is red...
Maine has it right, make the politicians work the entire state for their vote instead of what the libs are doing now in just concentrating on the urban areas knowing they win the big city they carry the entire state...
It's BS going into each election the libs already have California, New York, Illinois, Michigan, Colorado and others just because of the large cities...

You don't win on acreage, you win on population.
The electoral college is a decent way of doing this.
The argument could be made that very small population states are over represented because every state gets at least 3 electoral votes, even if they have no one living there.

I don't know if this idea would be good or bad. However, the Electoral College is working exactly as designed. The founders aimed to protect rural areas from tyranny of the population centers. The idea then was that people living in the population centers could not relate to the needs and concerns of the rural areas. The EC balances these out to some degree.
By way of example, look at the pic below. The gray areas voted trump and yet the popular vote still went to Clinton. If not for the EC, our country would have long been a liberal bastion of failed policies.
