IMO, force and violence are much more powerful. Now, that does not mean looting or random acts of violence. I'm talking about directed, controlled violence.
For example, these protestors blocking streets in major cities. What exactly are they doing? What kind of impact are they actually having?

I encourage them to keep it up. Normal every day people don't like protest of any kind. Then you start to impact their life by fricking up traffic and making areas of a city even more dangerous to go into.
The more these SJWs protest, the more indy voters turn on the left. It also forces the left to make a decision do you try to reign this in and come back to the middle hoping to not lose indy voters, or you have to give into this shite and now they end up left of bernie which isn't a winnable position.

Though this is not directly in line with this notion, I did start a thread several months back when the #NeverTrumpsters were somewhat OK with the violence at the Trump rallies (before he won the R nomination) because Trump supporters supposedly started it. I warned them that this overall outcome would take place it wasn't squashed and the Rs didn't come together.
Reality is, the Republican leadership, during the NEVERTRUMP phase, also "okayed" this, but obviously not to the level that Obama and Clinton have.
Face it, both parties are somewhat responsible for this destruction today, though it looks worse for the Dems now.

I do think the Tea party did some good, but it also harmed the party because it forced a hard right turn. People don't seem to get the best place on a national level for freedoms and what not is the parties being close to the center instead of flying off the end of the graphs

yeah the underlying issue is shite IS NOT THAT BAD RIGHT NOW. IT'S AWESOME

this allows selective exposure of these extremists, which leads to a response of marginalizing it all

yep, the ones leading this take the focus off a legitimate fix and issues so they can scream false narratives. All of these riots over police violence and not one of them as decided that maybe we should actually look at what causes this to happen and fix it. Instead they scream racism
