Hopefully we can add two to the list this year from our office!

(No I'm not retiring, sorry)

I'd be curious to see where these jobs were nixed.

Step in the right direction though

I guess maybe this could be good news, but I was told I needed to be lamenting the death of "intellectual conservatism by the election of Trump," so I'm still too busy doing that.

The Wash DC Swamp Empire is under lethal attack and they will now be out for Trump's blood.

Mostly attributed to attrition due to an aging workforce. This has nothing to do with any Trump policy.

Perhaps.

I mean, the administration is not replacing them. I'm not sure to whom one should "give credit" for that.

OK you partisan hack. This is totally by design. It's almost impossible to get rid of federal employees. Almost the only way IS by attrition.

This is 100 percent due to Trump and his policies.

It absolutely does because several agencies have hiring freezes.

I LOVE THIS ANSWER!!

This means that - assuming $77,000 for a full-loaded employee - we just shaved $1B off the payroll with no political repercussions.

Wrong. The Trump policy is in not back-filling the bureaucracy. Put these folks out to pasture without taking a political hit. Shave $1B off the government payroll. Eliminate 13,000 positions from the bloated bureaucracy.

THAT, my good man, is what MAGA looks like!!

So why didnt Obama shed these numbers

Was he even worse than we thought by instead of letting the natural course run he made taxpayers pay for MORE fed employees we dont need

Because fed workers are a democrat constituency. They have no desire to decrease the numbers.
