USA one goal away from being eliminated from next year's World Cup. Mexico is letting Honduras win in hopes of eliminating the USA. Costa Rica hasn't gotten the memo yet.

The USA Soccer team is getting its arse handed to them in front of 600 fans on a Caribbean island.
Even if Panama doesn't score, USA will have to go to Syria to try to qualify. That should be fun and apolitical.

All joking aside. The rules of qualifying encourage teams to throw games to keep others out.
Mexico and Costa Rica had already qualified, USA needed a tie. Once USA was down 2-0 at halftime, Mexico let Honduras back into it. Costa Rica made it look like a miracle last minute goal by Panama.
The fix was in from the time they moved that game from the national stadium to a smaller stadium that flooded easily.

Well that's CONCACAF. It's super biased against the US, especially with how refs call games. But the US did this to themselves. We are in between generations of players, there was infighting that kept one of our better playmakers away from the national team for a couple of years, and we lost games, including this one, that no US team in 30 years should be losing. Klinsmann needs to take a lot of blame as well. He had no clue what he was doing.
The USSF needs to fire Gulati and Arena, and find a coach who can bring back an American style. The future looks good, as we have lots of talented young players.

Panama said the same thing last time when USA beat them 4-0. USA was already in and all they had to do was let panama win and they could go. Instead USA said freak that and won. By not letting panama win that allowed Mexico to make it to the World Cup instead. Costa Rica had a lot of flooding last week from Nate and panama has been helping everybody over there doing everything they can to help. So tonight Costa Rica returned the favor and let panama win and now will be going to the World Cup for the first time ever. My mom said that was karma.
