It's becoming absurd.

Suppose someone knew Trump was going to tweet that before he did. Suppose that person had Boeing stock and sold it before the tweet. Legal?

Worth noting: Trump reported owning between $50,001 and $100,000 of Boeing stock in his May '16 disclosure. LINK

Where did Trump read about Boeing 747 cost this morning? I'd like to short any company that appears in their headlines the next four years. LINK

That's a lot of supposing.

I don't even get what the insinuation here might possibly be.

I like this game, just make up any sort of shite with zero evidence whatsoever and pin it on someone.

They're pathetic.

What I find so disturbing is that they believe failure is the norm. They get bent out of shape by the government saving 4 billion dollars by scraping a bad deal.

Trump will reduce wasteful spending like no other President in history because he pays attention to detail.

What is the second tweet supposed to mean? If Trump owned stock in Boeing and wanted to cancel the contract why would this be a good thing for him? Someone tell me what I'm missing.

So, he tweets something about a company that will make the price go down that he is long for his benefit? WTF is wrong with these people?

You're missing the realization that liberals don't understand that losing value in your equity isn't typically a positive.

Maybe he's trying to avoid paying taxes?

This is the financial acumen I would expect from the Left.

Trump is CEO of Tag Air Inc., which operates his plane. Presumably he profits from its use, which could explain resistance to Air Force One.

Political optics. Trump's not worried about losing a few dollars in the stock market when he's trying to save the country some money. For once, hopefully we're getting a president who puts our pocketbooks ahead of theirs.

No. I understand that point. I am more curious to know if there is some panacea of growth they know about and the rest of us don't.

Is 4 Billion dollars really going to tank Boeing for the year? Come on. . . I mean it's a ton of money, but I doubt there is anything more to this than face value that it's too damn much to pay for a plane.

What likely occurs is that Boeing comes back and ultimately decides they can build a new Air Force One for about a billion less. Art of the Deal, walk away. . .

And that was the amount of the sale. Not profits. A loss of $4 billion in profits would be a big deal, but it isnt like they are going to make billions off this deal.

And to reply to some of these idiots, like Olivianuzzi (not OP or CZ) Trump is not saying he will not use AF1, he is just saying that the current one is just fine. No need to upgrade.
