Rather, it is a merely an assessment of the options that are available to us, the ordinary people, those without superhuman powers.

We’re not actually equipped to do that much at all, other than to try to carry on, to not allow ourselves to be terrorised, to stop living our lives. And that means means continuing with the general election May felt obliged to call, or keep on buying tickets to see the likes of Ariana Grande.

Unfortunately the ostrich approach won't help. These people will keep coming .

The government takes a hard look into reality and responds. Doing nothing will only cause more of these incidents.

Read the comments. This has opened the eyes of a lot of folks in the UK.

Germany and France are already screwed. The UK and the rest of Europe better wake up before it's too late.

I really want to understand a realistic option of what can be done, and what's the cost of it.

I know we see these attacks across the world frequently, but as separate countries and let's face it that's all we care about, they don't happen frequently. So what's the solution to stopping it?

They should quietly find out who worked with and supported this individual or individuals. Then assassinate their fricking asses with ruthless efficiency.

Trump's preferred approach would help. Shut down immigration from places with no government . No way to vet immigrants from them. The ones that have gotten in, go back out.

Then, you kick out the radicals. LEO's and intelligence people pretty much know who they are. If they stay, this will happen again with certainty.

Third, find the sources of money and control. Those types want to stay in the shadows they don't have a death wish like the vest idiots. A few double taps and the message that the West isn't playing around any more will stop a lot of this. Hit the domestics too, AND the ones overseas.

I wouldn't trust any of the Muslim led govt's to vet them. Most of these govt's want to spread terrorism and will do anything to accomplish that goal.

Churchill urged Londoners to treat the German aircraft bombings as if they were no more than thunderstorms.

We stand some chance of vetting someone from say Jordan. None from Somalia, Libya and especially Syria for example.

do you really not see any differences to Churchill fighting Germany and the current fight against ISIS?

If not for the U.S. they'd all be speaking German or Japanese.

IIRC the German soldiers wore uniforms and their planes and bombs were marked with their insignias.

Contrast this with the current foe.

Correct....kill the terrorists....all of them. And kick out everyone on the "extremist" list too. Tell the rest to obey the laws or they're out too.

Can you really not comprehend what you read?

The Independent is urging the same -attitude- that WSC suggested in 1940.
