Saw this from Yahoo home page and read it. Interesting take, most rational people knew it all along.

I always found it interesting to hear of the "prestigious" mission trips abroad to help third world lives when there is so much to be done in the US. Why can't we do more for our own. There is a dire lack of mentoring in much of our country that could use some educated, sincere do-gooders. Where are they, really?

Glad to see she addressed this in her article as well. I feel bad for the starving around the world I really do, but I want to help those around me first if it's the same situation. Some sort of disaster I always donate wherever it is, but otherwise I give to St. Jude monthly. More of these super elite should focus more on the USA first.

I thought the same thing but she's smart. She knows the law is on her side plus it sounds like she may be ready to move out of her echo chamber since her "friends" have been giving her grief for having an open-mind.
