Don't waste your time trying to rain on this band's parade. They are going. They are going to be outstanding and we are going to pay for it!

That is amazing what the American public has done for these people. What is even more amazing is the school did not bow to pressure and the administration is allowing these students to be part of a historical event despite political leanings, as it should be.

$645,500. And a few quotes from the members:

quote:

We all feel like America loves us. We're America's band right now

quote:

I could tell my kids further down the line that we did something great even though people felt like we shouldn't go.

quote:

It's really amazing. Who could have thought in just this short amount of time that you could come from nothing to all of this

quote:

I do understand why they don't want us to march but I feel like they should understand why we want to march. It's a life changing experience

quote:

Bigger and better things are coming our way

quote:

I don't think we would've ever thought we were going to be on a platform this big, but with the grace of God, that's how stuff happens.

quote:

Initially, I was a little thrown off. I was like 'We're playing for Trump? Eventually, he decided to go. This is what we do, and this is the biggest stage. Forget the politics... We are performers. We are musicians.
