Yeah especially the part about wanting to ship all the slaves back to Africa when the war was over. Very realistic.
I encourage you, and the other people on this board who claim to know Jefferson, to read his writings. Many of these writings were before his own presidency. Then, look at his presidency, and see if his philosophy was consistent. Academic scholars hold that he was not.
I have a juris doctorate. Trust me, I've read more Jefferson than you or I care to even know. And some scholars do. Some don't. Its not a black and white answer. That doesn't prevent me from arguing for his case.

Read his writings. You will be surprised as to what you will find.
