The establishment lobbies are too powerful for any president that doesn't fall in line
Posted by Northwestern tiger on 5/17/17 at 10:41 am134
With their ideology.
never in my life have I seen anything similar to what is happening today.
Even GOP are on the attack.
I hope trump can survive this onslaught.

It almost seems like our government is too far in beyond hope.

Can we just start an excuse thread to keep from cluttering up the board?

Or the guy could just be a spoiled, impulsive idiot.
Probably some vast conspiracy, though. That Trump seems to be a part of, for some odd reason.

Congressional republicans have voted in line with Trump 98% of the time. Nearly every congressional republican endorsed Trump and voted for him. Almost all of them have tried to give him what he wants. Paul Ryan is still providing cover for him.
Perhaps the problem is Trump.

Trump filled his cabinet with establishment folks and was really not doing anything anti-establishment (other than treason) so your point is not a great one.

I truly don't understand why people are rallying behind Trump. This has been an unmitigated self inflicted disaster. A dumpster fire of epic proportions. He has continually displayed incompetence. Nearly all these attacks are legit and of his own doing.
What are you getting out of it? Where is the Obamacare repeal, where is the funding for the wall? Where is the swamp draining?
Had Kasich or Cruz won the GOP wouldn't be dealing with this daily embarrassment.

I think expecting a self-proclaimed billionaire to be anti-establishment and a representative of the working class was an absolute brilliant move. Top Notch. It totally should have worked

This would be a major story in any administration

I hate the two party system, that's not what this is. This is incompetence.

What has Trump done in the last 6 months that shows that he's incompetent?
Specifically using examples.

It's all about money and power and elites keeping both.

No, they are not.
But you can't fight their kind of fight against them.
Only way to win is drag the cockroaches into the light

This entire post is an example of displaced, irrational drivel exaggerating a situation to the extreme in order to be/feel "right" [ie, hysteria].

Have an up vote for a decent post in a thread full of flaming pussy posts from the left.

Yes. Can you provide one?
Or you're just an ignorant troll who shouts and shouts but had no substance to his argument because he's too stupid to think for himself.

Tell them to cease the President Trump witchhunt or they will -all-but a handful- find out what it is like to lose their jobs. They are trying to make POTUS Trump look weak before a foreign trip; complete with Obama calling Trump a bullshitter. Tell them to air ALL the dirty laundry or none at all.
