There is pure hatred now, it doesn't matter who the President is, I just don't know that it can be overcome. The differences in ideology are now so great, the view for where this country should go is so vastly different.
I guess I am just sort of venting here, it's just discouraging to see everything devolve into hatred, which ultimately means we can't accomplish anything.

I think a HUGE thing is we have lost empathy in the world. We need it to recover and come together, no matter our political views.

I think there's been hate there for a long time; It's now more exposed with advances in technology. And it's both parties pushing the hate to be honest. The exposure has forced the parties to dig in, in order to try and protect the core values of each party. Most Americans get stuck in the middle and are too dumb to know they're being played like a fiddle and have been for many years.

There are givers and takers in this world. The takers are growing exponentially and taking more and more from the workers, while at the same time demonizing the workers. The fact that the workers haven't said ENOUGH, is empathy enough.
The division is coming directly from the takers and those who are exploiting the takers to gain power. Spin it how you want but those are the facts. Maybe the takers should get a job and better themselves.

This isn't about who works and who is on welfare.

The politics of division are failing. Naming and shaming tactics are failing. The entities most engaged in promoting that -- cable and network news -- are failing.
The loudest voices of division are being ignored, with Holy Rollers and SJW's getting shoved into the corner and loudly shushed by sensible people.
Don't get me wrong, I like Trump and voted for him, but his administration is a circus. I feel like the U.S. needed a circus, though.
Once the Trump circus is out of town, we'll see things improve drastically.

The vocal minority on both sides is clouding the fact that the overwhelming majority of Americans continue to live, work with and befriend others of all races, sexual orientations, religions and political views without any issue whatsoever.
This "division" simply doesn't exist in the day to day lives of normal everyday folks.

For the last 8 years anytime someone has the audacity to disagree with the left, they're labeled a ____-ist and thereby have any hope at honest debate immediately shut down.
