Some of "the experts" told the dems that shifting the left back toward the center by using JBE as a model is what the dems needed to do in 2016, but the dems did not listen. I guess better late than never.

2018 is going to be an epic disaster for the dems in the Senate and 2020 will be bad too. The dems will continue to double down on their left shift until yall kick Nancy Pelosi and those that think like her out of power.

I thought about that, delta and I think I know how this works psychologically.
An illustration:
You're a young woman working at the diner. You manage to pay your bills on time but that's about it. You go to church every Sunday and you consider yourself a moral person.
Then a big wig from a talent agency comes in and says: "Hey, what is a beautiful girl like you doing in a place like this. You could be a star. You could make millions. I'm with ACME productions. Here's my card. All ya gotta do is get your hair fixed a little different, change your make up with our professionals and agree to some scenes in the nude. Everything would be very tasteful. If you're interested give me a call at that number."
90% of girls would make the call.
The guy from WSJ was asked if these guys just all happened to try politics this year for the first time. He said 'No, they were contacted by recruiters from the Dem party looking for a certain profile.'
Ego is a very strong force.
