The Democratic Party seems to have no earthly idea why it is so damn unpopular

Hillary Clinton is just slightly more unfavorable than her own party, according to a poll. (JEWEL SAMAD/AFP/GETTY IMAGES)
A troubling new poll was just released showing that the Democratic Party is significantly less popular than both Donald Trump and Mike Pence. My gut tells me that Democrats will ignore this poll, or blame it on bad polling, and continue down the same course they are currently on: being funded by lobbyists and the 1%, straddling the fence or outright ignoring many of most inspirational issues of the time, and blaming Bernie Sanders for why they aren’t in power right now.
As a general rule the Democratic Party doesn’t listen well and struggles to hear the truth about itself.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Republicans now control the House, the Senate, the presidency, and the overwhelming majority of state legislatures and governorships. This new poll from Suffolk University illustrates just how that’s possible. Here are the base results of the poll with favorable/unfavorable ratings.
Pence: 47%/35%
Trump: 45%/47%
GOP: 37%/48%
Media: 37%/50%
Dem Party: 36%/52%
Hillary: 35%/55%
Congress: 26%/52%

Don't worry about the Democratic Party. They will recover in time for the midterm elections in 18 months or so.

There are some interesting takes on this... quite a few of them written by Democrats.
The Democrats national strategy has been piss poor for a couple of election cycles now and the results are really starting to show. Hillary won a Congressional district in Texas... where the Democrats didn't even bother to run a candidate. A suburb of Dallas. The Republicans won in a walk over.
Think about that. They could not be bothered to find someone, anyone, to run in Dallas. They just let the Republicans win.
There was another article I read by a Democrat running for a Congressional seat in North Carolina who didn't hear from the national party after he declared for a month or two. When he finally went up to meet them the head of his regional department could only be arsed to give them 15 minutes where he basically told them... they were on their own.
In a seat that the Democrats had won only 8 years ago.
The Democrats have doubled down on their coastal policy ( Upper East and West) so much they have forgotten about the tons of seats and electoral votes up for grab across the country.
Bill Clinton, who I know is seen as the Anti-Christ by many on here, even tried to convince the Democrats to... you know.. give a shite... about the middle of the country and he was laughed at.
Say what you want about Slick Willy but I'd think he knows a thing or two about winning elections. The Democrats are reaping what they have sown right now and its their own damn arrogance they can thank for it.

It's racist to say anything else. It's the Russians fault.

Why? King is obviously a democrat. LINK

You're correct about WJ Clinton. He is corrupt as all get out but he did try to warn them. The only thing is people no longer think he feels their pain. America is sick to death of fake canned political speeches. Obama trumped WJC. Rumors also say that WJC said, no dem should run on Obamas coatails. The worst kept secret of the Dem party, --but to themselves-- is: they are afraid to tell Obama he sucks and to stfu.
Obama still rules as he and HRC picked their new chair and he is designed to get the Latino vote and everybody knows this is fake pandering. No one cares about what he has to say, especially not millenials or the working class.

Well, it's pretty simple. In today's America, there's the right wing (Democrats) and then there's the far right wing (Republicans). If someone is going to choose a party, they might as well choose the party that isn't the watered down version of the other.

Why is this troubling? She already lost, its pretty obvious she's less popular than Trump.

Even the dems bluedog dems are feigning moderacy, they are far left. There is no more moderation of the democratic party. Extreme progressive radical left and every day hard-working Americans have figured out how 'progressive' they are.
The GOPe feigns moderation but they ruin it with neocon war mongering and their slush funds and pet projects.
We can call out our party. Democrats can't because they are afraid of Obama.

King has attached his own incorrect interpretation to this polling.
He believes the left wing of the party is suffering due to the unpopularity of the moderate wing.
His solution: move further left.
He is a moron.

The democrats lost the election due to a myriad of issues none of which are self identified by the democrats themselves. To wit: Trump's message of more manufacturing jobs, which tend to be well paying jobs (mostly union), jobs and more jobs resonated with voters like no other. To understand Trump's victory is to look no further than Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and Pennsylvania.
Instead, the tone deaf democrat leadership has merely doubled down on identity politics for its salvation.

I am not worried one bit they will figure it out. They are too far gone in indoctrination and the rest think Bernie's --everything is free-- socialism is cool; and it won't evah lead them to Venezuela- begging for food now. One of their SJWs (probably paid to protest) didn't know Iran was a terrorist State. Maxine Waters thinks Putin invaded Korea.
