Then how do you explain how it goes on now, with people born decades after the Civil Rights Act still cry racism?
Some of that hidden racism is still being handed down. I can remember as a younger guy having a conversation with some white classmates. I asked the young white girl would she ever date a black male. She said no. I asked her why. She said it was against her religion. I asked her what religion was that. She said Baptist. The same religion that I served. That makes no sense to me.
Just look at the past 20 years. Spike Lee made a movie called Jungle Fever that received a massive amount of "buzz". Now interracial dating is largely accepted and most people don't even think twice about it.
So what happens another 50 years from now when those old principals don't have the same weight? It was just 50 years ago that blacks were having to drink from separate water fountains. We have come a long way as a society. We still have a ways to go.
