SIAP....I don't frequent this board and it was dated only a few days ago. I wouldn't say it won't happen. ISIS is a different enemy than we have faced before. They look at death as a reward. None of our enemies in wars past dared invade the United States because it would have amounted to suicide. Also, the USA used to be feared. We have become so pussified and politically correct that no one fears us any longer, especially with the idiot we have as commander in chief. And last but not least, our way of life was not as dependent on digital technology even a decade ago the way it is now. A vehicle used to run as long as there was gas in the tank and oil in the engine. Now, one computer chip malfunctions and you're gonna be walking.

I think a thread concerning some threat to the US power grid is posted here every 4-6 months.

FERC has ordered a new physical security regulation for utilities. One of the FERC commissioners while approving the new regulation did caution that its nearly impossible to secure the entire grid.
