By not associating radicals with Islam, Islam is not forced to play a role in addressing radicalization.

I've said many times the Old Testament and the Quran aren't that different.
What Christianity has though is the New Testament and Jesus who didn't preach a message of hate and fear. There is no moderating influence in Islam.

Right. People were overwhelmingly christian who slaughtered millions of Jews. "Christians" enslaved millions of Africans and have killed millions of people though war. Christians have killed far, far more people over the last few centuries than any other religion. Not even close. Does that mean Christianity is violent or failed to stop constant world wars and colonial massacres?
Or should all cops be considered to be murderers and racists because of a few bad cops.
