My recent facebook comment was intended to be a joke, in the context of a larger conversation, and only privately shared as such. Anyone who knows me, knows that I do not engage in this form of rhetoric with any level of seriousness and the comment most certainly does not represent my real personal views in any regard. I apologize if anything that I said was either taken seriously, was offensive, or caused any legitimate concern. Best Regards, Matt Harrigan

This guy needs to be locked up. I hope he's at least on the no-fly list. Good God.

What a fool. Is he privy to the mental makeup of every individual who reads his words and takes them seriously?

Yeah, he was joking.

Even if he was joking, I'd fire his dumb arse for putting something on Facebook that demonstrated that he is, in fact, a dumbass. I mean, you'd have to be a complete dumbass to not know that even a joke referencing the killing of any public official, much less the President-Elect of the United States of America, would be taken very seriously and should be.

Again, he's a dumbass who does not need to be in a position of leadership.

Hope he has lots of success in nailing another CEO gig somewhere.

I hear Burger King may be looking for a midnight shift cook.

There's nothing "joking" about that shite. Put him away, time to set a precedent

Yes let's lock up anyone who's said something stupid. Everyone would be in prison. I have noticed the authoritarian povs on here aren't the norm in society and yet it's frightening to think that they're still expressed with pride.

I'm just in shock that people put themselves out there on Twitter and Facebook. NOTHING of value comes from it...

And yet idiot after idiot has their lives ruined by doing it.

Yeah, you can't really say that you're going to get a sniper rifle out and kill the President and not expect them to bash down your door.

Any second year law student could successfully argue to the contrary and get a conviction.

Threatening to murder the president elect isn't confined to "something stupid" status.

If it is said about any President or presidential candidate it is WRONG. It is that simple.

Do you wake up this stupid every morning or do you have to work at it?

The jokes on you Mr. Harrigan. You're lucky your sedition wasn't directed at Obama; you would be in jail now. Then again you probably thought you could get away with your hate towards a Republican President-elect.

He didn't say he'd like to kill the president or wish Trump would die tragically. He issued a direct threat to him. I'm not for locking people up on a whim but this ignorant POS did issue a direct threat to the President that will cost the tax payers money to have it investigated.

I've hated Obama with a passion but when people were jumping the fence at the WH the SS should have shot them as soon as their feet hit the WH lawn.
