A congressional committee is investigating potential abuse of federal funds and resources provided to local municipalities in Puerto Rico, citing red flags raised by the FBI.

The allegations have stated that “mayors of local municipalities, or people associated with their offices, are giving their political supporters special treatment, goods they’re not giving to other people who need them,” the committee members said, citing Leff.

That's great but how does the FBI ascertain this information in a month's time? We are just now learning of the Obama administration's transgressions with respect to Russia from eight years ago.

As a tax paying citizen of the U.S., I must ask of the federal government is functional at all or just some of the time.

Maybe this is one of those things you should talk about if they're found to be guilty.

The FBI had boots on the ground doing a real investigation within days of the mayor making her stupid claims.

They also have informants I am sure. There were people claiming to be cops on the island calling into radio shows with claims like this, stating that the supplies were being warehoused for this purpose rather than distributed to the people.

The establishment appears to be losing control of more and more every day. Fascinating stuff.

I think there is abuse in every disaster response. Every damn one. There was abuse post-Katrina and some were prosecuted. There was massive abuse after the oil spill. There’s abuse every time a train derails.

What’s important is that we continue to both respond in a national way to disasters, and that we keep vigilant about abuse and prosecute it when it is found.

But in this case it appears that the administration is using the excuse of possible abuse as a cover for a weak response. We are still in the phase of the operation where hundreds of thousands of people don’t have utility service yet. Get the power and water back on first, then go after the abusers.

That one bitch is still standing in front of several tons of supplies, claiming that her people are starving. I think her new shirt has the word "pig" on it.

You definitively have to be trolling because even you cannot be this stupid.

Or are you going to use low-T as an excuse?
