Never knew that about Whitman.

Interesting theory. Very plausible.

Fun fact: glioblastomas may be causally linked to paper mills.

I read a bit on him when my step mom got her glioblastoma. Not entirely unpossible. She had a ccw and didn't shoot anybody, but i won't pretend huge noticeable differences in function relating to the area of her tumor weren't easily observable. Her's was was more speech and word recollection. Couldn't spit the word out, but could spell it no problem. Legit oddest shite I've ever seen relating to brain function.

Left temporal tumors or strokes have a chance of invading Wernicke’s or Broca’s areas. Your mom’s issue was related to Broca’s which is responsible for speech production. Even if the rest of the brain works perfectly fine, and Broca’s area is damaged or encroached by a tumor, then your sole deficit would be exactly as you described.

That explains why John McCain can't get with the program.

I know my grandfather had many mood swings after his brain bleed and before it, had zero emotional problems. It's very conceivable that any type of brain injury can cause irrational behavior. Look at the recent retired NFL players with the brain damage from repeated concussions.

really

but no one can even raise the question about whether whatever he has is affecting his judgement so we just have to sit back and let him wander wherever he wants
