Seriously, this is part of the problem. These people are nothing more than vessels for yours and my's entertainment. They bring nothing to the table that actually effects yours or my day to day.

Who gives a shite how much so and so makes...are they paying your bills? Are they offering to break off a stack fornyou and yours? Of course not.

These are people, for the most part, that if it weren't for their athletic talent or vocal/acting prowess ( if you can call it that) would be doing god knows what. They are low on the totem pole as actually constructing anything that helps you and or your family day to day.

As far as coaches and their opinions- same thing only they need the dancing and jumping circus freaks to make the millions that they make. What position do you think that they are going to take? Why would they bite the hands that feed them?

I swear take a step back and consider the source next time one of these people gets out of their lane and talks anything but sticking a ball on a hoop, catching/ throwing s ball, sings a song, or teaches one to catch or throw better....what a joke.

Agreed...I think most are mad because they're politicizing our entertainment.

I could care less about the opinions of athletes or actors. And if anyone uses these people to sway their political opinions than they are idiots. I like football, so I watch football.

Their complete detachment from the middle class amuses me. They have no idea how foolish they look.

We elected an Entertainer. We obviously care about it quite a bit.

It's not really their opinions that are putting people off to tune them out. It's their reprehensible actions that are.

Agreed. They are dancing clowns.

Distractions.

Their political opinions are irrelevant.

I can see why some of Hollywood and music may get political given that some of the greatest movies and songs of all time have political undertones.

But sports? frick off. Really only if a player engages in criminal activity, particullarly spousal abuse, that's the only time I want any political messaging from it. I don't care if they're protesting NASA's embarrassing budget, I don't want to see it on the field. With sports, can I please be allowed to turn off my brain for just 3 hours and watch a bunch of grown men beat the crap out of each other? Is that too much to ask?

You confuse being worked up with the new "take no shite" American consumer

You frick with them and they will burn down your house while your family sleeps in it...figuratively speaking

Please. Trump is an entertainer first and a businessman second... actually I'll rephrase it: Trump is a brander first (I don't see how anyone can come close to him), an entertainer second, and a businessman third.

I agree with the idea of not getting worked up over their opinions, however, people are allowed to rebut their opinions with opinions of their own. They can also spend their money elsewhere.

That's not why I voted for him, but I am enjoying his takedown of Obama's "fundamental changing of America"

It's just silly to act like this country does not care about celebrities opinions when it is so obvious that we do.

Check out target stock, check out year 2 of declines NFL ratings. ESPN is on the ropes

When you tell your core consumer to get fricked, they will leave you. But with all the PC bullshite and after 10 years of calling them racists, they have less tolerance for progressive bullshite
