Still the worst amendment we ever passed

It's still the 1 amendment we passed that put the power in the hands of the federal government moreso than the states.

There is a disconnect from the state to the national level in government. It use to be that the state government elected the US senators. It meant that the US senators were held accountable to the STATE government. now, to themselves moreso than anything.

The House was meant to represent the people.

The Sen was meant to represent the State government at the federal level.

HUGE shift in how this country has moved to the left.

Truth. It's messed up.

Technically, other countries have more influence in D.C. than any individual state does.

This is second on my list. The worst - The sixteenth amendment. Thanks to the passage of it we now have exactly what Madison said would happen.

Prohibition is the worst. It entrenched federal police powers, and that remained in effect even after they wised up and repealed the alcohol ban. The federal government should have no prosecutorial power outside of those specifically authorized in the Constitution.
