“It was kind of ironic they got the letter from them and then, within hours, they were told they had to be moved due to him,” Jamie McCarthy, Mallue's sister, said in an interview. “It was emotional, especially for her—she’s the bride and in less than 24 hours they had to change everything they had planned.”

Have a church wedding and God won't do things like this to you.

What part of "Imperial" don't those obvious racists understand?

Eh, the article says that its unclear if he ever would have been told about the wedding, and it says he called them personally afterwards.
I don't see the big deal. They knew he would be in Hawaii, they knew it was possible events would have to be changed to accommodate the President (as is customary), and they chose to proceed. Sounds like it was an expected risk.

It usually is.

This just furthers my belief that personally as a human being, Obama is a shitty guy and not really one for compassion.

he was invited to the wedding by two military officers.

Do you really think that letter was ever even given to him? He probably gets invited to thousands of those a year, and probably a large majority of military weddings. You're completely naive if you think he was the one who turned down their offer and not his schedulers.

he would have been advised that two military captains were getting married at the location he wanted to play golf at. These aren't two little peon enlisted guys.
these were two O-3's getting hitched, planned months if not a year in advance.

You are making a shite ton of assumptions here, likely without having ever worked in a functioning political office.
Who would have advised him?
Who would have advised him?

Do I think he personally knew? Probably not.
Do I think his handlers should have taken notice of this? Yeah, probably, given that the military already dislikes him for various reasons and this is yet another middle finger at them, intentional or not, given that bride and groom are both officers.

I fully agree with the latter assertion. That doesn't put it on Obama, though. If he doesn't know, and he takes remedial steps afterwards, what the hell is the problem?

I have friends that have worked directly for him. I know it works.

Pretty nice inflammatory headline, then you read this paragraph...
Makes it sound like it was the golf course that made them move the ceremony, not Obama.
Oh.
quote:
Still, anyone planning an event at the course when the president may be in town is warned about the potential for last-minute shuffling, said Naile Brennan, manager of K Bay Catering, which was handling logistics for the wedding. Brennan said they had other sites ready to go, and the couple ended up choosing the lush, green lawn near the home of Colonel Eric Schaefer, the commanding officer of the base, which offers an elevated view near the 16th hole.

it's not clear the White House would have been informed about the wedding in advance.
Oh.

Same goes for the people in Obama's office. :rimshot:

his staffers should have checked to see if any weddings were planned on that day. if they were, move his golf game to another location.

Wow, this is so very typical of Obama. He never takes responsiblity for anything does he? Bet he even considered blaming Bush.
F O and his tranny wife.

Maybe, but how many weddings have you been to that actually take place ON the golf course? They were getting married on the 16th tee box. Who would think to call a golf course to see if there were any weddings planned ON the golf course for that day? Nobody would.
