You seem threatened by the fact that kneeling in an SEC stadium would greatly impact football as we know it. First of all, no one is saying football would fail. But since you strike me as a dullard, I'll break it down for you.

SEC football runs on money. Shady money from bag men directly to players and larger, legal money from boosters and athletic foundations to the programs. Most of that money is from white conservatives. The second kneeling appears in Tuscaloosa or Baton Rouge or Oxford or Athens, 75% of that money dries up. That's not even accounting for individual season ticket holders and tailgaters and casual fans.

Look at NASCAR's recent statements on kneeling for the anthem. They have stated point blank, if you do it, you're out of a job. Guess what- NASCAR and the SEC fan base is identical.

Football won't fail and it's not like no one will ever play the game again but you don't pretend that millions of dollars and fans won't disappear overnight if this spills to the college teams.

The pathetic pandering to athletes, to the exclusion of character, starts in high school and even before. I agree with you that some fool will take a knee, but I've been disgusted with the whole mess for a while. I've been moving away from all football for the last 3 years.

no, more than likely just young, dumb, and inexperienced.

Like 95% of liberals.

They have never actually accomplished anything worthwhile in their lives, creating an empty void.....

which they pathetically fill by sitting on a keyboard and virtue signalling.

I have no doubt this comes to LSU . Why ? Because LSU is cursed .

I will let my seats remain empty , I won't renew them next year and I'll send a letter to the AD with a list of contributions I've made through the decades along with a promise that I will never make another. Life is way too short to subsidize Progressive Agitprop . And that's really the only way I can exercise My Free Speech.

Agreed. Also the 2nd or 3rd best coach in the country. HUGE drop off after him, Saban, and Meyer.

And he will capitalize on the opportunity given to him, which means other coaches will too eventually. They always do. Whatever it takes to get ahead.
