And Trump is increasing Fedgov money spent towards HBCUs.

So, Trumpkins, do you feel stupid? Liberals that were acting like literally Hitler was elected, do you feel stupid? People that said that this election proved that there WAS a legit difference between the two parties, do you feel stupid?

You don't have to try to convince us that Congress is worthless, we already know that. A lot of people have finally woken up to the fact that there is no difference between Democrats and Republicans either.

As far as Trump is concerned, he just started the job a month ago, he's got 3 years and 11 months to do some good.

Not a Trumpkin

I did vote for him

I feel fine. I had no illusions, but I voted for Supreme Court justice and the over throw of Hillary.

Who is it you feel would have not spent money? Who was your vote cast for?

What?

He proposed a 10% increase to defense spending offset with a similar cut to domestic spending.

They've openly talked about repealing the ACA (though rational minds know that's becoming harder with each passing day).

Medicaid/Medicare will face severe cuts if Ryan gets his way.

And it's your assertion that the parties are the same?

Trumps #1 job is to stop illegal immigration and Muslim refugee resettlement. I'm on board until I feel that he is neglecting either

You got one of those...when the GOP can't agree on a budget and the government shuts down because Trump is spend happy liberal the rats are going to abandon the sinking ship in huge numbers..he better have gotten his SC Appointee appointed by then or he may not.

There are going to be a lot of GOPers who see some shot at the whitehouse in 2020 who are going to start distancing themselves from Trump in the not so distant future....going to be hard to differentiate yourself if you are in lock step with the president after about month 6.....the honeymoon is fast coming to an end...

Trump is exactly who I thought he'd be as POTUS, so I don't feel stupid.

ACA- TBD
Medicare - said he wouldn't touch
Medicaid - see above
Defense - said he would make it stronger

I really don't see any lying by him concerning those four topics.

I'm convinced that no President will ever be able to do anything about entitlements.

The best we can do is slow the move toward more and bigger government and more and bigger entitlements.

You can't win if you tell the people that sacrifices must be made. The truth is not palpable for the liberals/dems. They don't believe that there's not an endless supply of money and that our debt service is not sustainable forever.

At some point, a reset is going to occur and it will be more painful than addressing the problem head long.

I'll be dead and gone but my children are likely to experience it.

Do you feel stupid about your post?

How about, when the repeal/replace of Obamacare happens, you come back here and start a post where you state "I feel stupid". You nevertrumpers are worse than liberals.

Politicians have adopted the mantra of short term fixes for long term problems. We are lucky to just be treading water at this point. We can only tread for so long belong we sink if no rescue shows up.

That's because it's mostly up to Congress. And I guess it depends on what you mean by anything. There is ample opportunity to make targeted cuts and reforms to entitlements. Most of the GOP just call for blanket cuts, while the Dems do all they can to expand them and protect them.

Yeah I would be open to common sense reforms to make the programs work more efficiently, but all I ever hear from Republicans is "hey let's cut people's benefits, we need to spend another trillion dollars on a fighter plane we don't need". frick that.

Why don't we talk about reform at the Pentagon as well? We spend an incredible amount of money on our defense yet we're still not at any kind of decent readiness state? And y'all just want to throw more money at the problem? And you call democrats fiscally irresponsible??

Mostly up the Congress for sure but my point is that a President can't run on fixing the budget problem based on cuts.

He can only win based on taxing people more becaue the dems eat that up like other free shite.
