84 Lumber Superbowl Ad
Are they completely unaware that the construction industry is mostly conservative?

I just wanted to know why anyone thought building a wood wall would work anyway?
I bet I know where one could find a lot of cordless drills at the border...
I bet someone could open a cordless saw rental hut with water and snacks for sale and make a fortune.

They do, but they don't let them make the purchasing decisions

This isn't the construction industry of yesteryear. We're no longer allowed to use the terms "blacktop," "backhoe," or "manhole." PC culture is OOC

Because with DHS a constant threat to show up, and finally having opened a way to freedom and the American dream, I am sure most people would run back to return their rented cordless saw, in order to keep that 20 peso deposit...
IE, YOU WOULDN'T GET YOUR STUFF BACK!

Is this an ad about how stupid women are? They also make Mexico look as third world as frick.

Everyone is in favor of using a door. Like a guy on the border once told me, "It's just like having a regular neighbor. Knock on my door, no problem. Climb over my fence, big problem."

Don't most legal immigrants hire a coyote, drag their child through the desert and hope for an unattended door in a wall that doesn't exist?

The law breaker didn't even close the door back.

Stopped by a site a couple weeks ago to do a grade beam inspection. There's 3 guys at the site getting the vapor barrier installed and I ask the first guy I see if they planned on being ready to pour. He (black guy) said "I don't know, they just picked me and him (points to a white guy) up from Home Depot." Apparently the hispanic fellow (don't know or care about his citizenship but his English was very broken) went and picked him up some day workers.
This is just an anecdote but this one guy at least had discretion on who was hired. And it was one of the more unexpected things I've seen on a construction site.

Which goes to my other point. I bet I know where you can find some cordless saws. I had both contingencies covered.
Oh yeah, don't forget. lumber will not be used to build the wall

Good lord. Go to a Home Depot or Lowes at 0630 and see who is buying.
Mexican contractors own the roofing industry, painting, framing and drywall. They do better work for a fraction of the cost.
Absolutely a brilliant move by 84.

Which reminds me of another issue....Why did they build the doors from Jurassic Park just to let people through?

What's anti-conservative about the piece?

So 84 Lumber is promoting illegal immigration. I hope Trump lays some hefty tax burdens on them.

Do you think Home Depot ask the guy dropping 8k on drywall (and paying in cash) if he is legal?
Answer: They dont, and neither does the Chevy dealership, grocery store, restaurant, movie theater etc etc etc
