Simple solution to the travel ban.

Appoint new ambassadors to all those countries and Deny visas to all applicants.

Even simpler: Close the borders period. No immigration at all. It is within the power of the POTUS to EO the immediate cessation of all immigration, all meaning zero, zilch, zip new citizenship until such time as he decides.
