Refreshing to see two black leaders, Shaq and Barkley, lecturing the black community with common sense versus misinformation...

LINK

quote:

“We have a process that’s been going on forever,” O’Neal told The Hill on Wednesday. “And whoever wins, you just hope he does what he says he’s going to do. You know, candidate Trump promised a lot of people a lot of things.

“Now that he’s president-elect, you just hope that he can make the world a better place. He won fair and square. We have to give him a chance. There’s no need talking about recounts and this and that.”

“I’m 45 years old and the world is more divided now than it’s ever been,” O’Neal said on TNT. “There’s a lot of stuff going on. It’s my hope and prayer that him as a leader of the free world brings people closer together.

“It’s kind of hard to believe that a guy with no political experience is the president of the United States. That’s just really hard to believe. And I agree with (Charles Barkley), we have to give him a chance to do his job. Candidate Trump made a lot of promises, now we just hope that President-elect Trump, soon to be President Trump, hopefully he can make this world a better place for us to live in. Everybody was in shock, but it’s over and done. We live in a democracy. He won; he’s the president; now we have to give him a chance.”

"Leaders" LOL These are entertainers. Does that mean Jim Nantz and Chris Berman are white leaders?

Do you consider Al Sharpton a "leader"?

Fact is 99% of the people in this world are followers. Many claim to be leaders but aren't really made for it - so when push comes to shove those 99% are going to follow the first thing that moves or speaks - if it's Shaq. So be it.

Sharpton is a race baiting POS. Not a leadership bone in his body.

Anyone who, when they speak, has influence on people are "leaders".

I mean, we may not want them to be, but, that's a different question.

The reality is, when Shaq speaks or some Hollywood liberal speaks, there are more people who are influenced by what they have to say or at least LISTEN to what they have to say than when some congressman nobody does.

We don't have to like that reality to recognize that reality.

Glad you think so. There are many, however, who consider him a great leader.

I see your point, but leader has an unfortunate, evolving definition these days, mostly dependent on with whom you're speaking.

Calm down. My father's been dead for almost 10 years now and even he would appreciate a good dead joke.
