Twenty-nine million Americans today still do not have health insurance (these people go to the ER at high costs to the system) and millions more are underinsured and cannot afford the high copayments and deductibles charged by private health insurance companies that put profits before people.
The U.S. spends more on health care per person, and as a percentage of gross domestic product, than any other advanced nation in the world, including Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. But all that money has not made Americans healthier than the rest of the world. Quite simply, in our high-priced health care system that leaves millions overlooked, we spend more yet end up with less.

Single payer will never pass in America because 85%+ of Americans feel just fine about their healthcare situation.

Says the lib who believes that estate belongs to the federal government.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST? This plan has been estimated to cost $1.38 trillion per year.
chump change....
only an ADDITIONAL 35% of 2016 budget.... what could go wrong
and yes, the link says it would be paid for my more revenue, but what would the effects of taking out an additional 8% of GDP from the economy?
and we know how these "estimates" work... and that is on both sides

it comes from some of the money that used to pay for health insurance, and then you get to pocket the leftovers.

LOL no way you believe that would happen
How about one of these fricks actually adress the ACTUAL issue?
My dad had back pains a few months back, mom insisted he go to the ER. He spent less than 30 minutes with a doctor, was told he had strained a muscle and given a prescription for the pain. Bill? $1000. Now, he has insurance, so they paid the most of it, as their deductible was already met, but who cares who has to pay it, $1000 is a ridiculous fee.

Single payer is inevitable
Its coming as soon as the next democrat president gets elected
The big corporations and lobbyists want it.
Leftists want it.
Chamber of Commerice/Tom Donahue/Wall Street want it because then health insurance is one less line item on their ledgers.
