What jobs are you suggesting for children?

Or the disabled?

Or the dual-eligibles who use it to pay for nursing homes after their other funds are depleted?

a-hole.

You are free to pay your money to help them.

But I'm sure you never write a check for 1 penny more as a donation to the Treasury to support your "empathy"

Furthermore Many of us don't give a shite about your feelings. We are especially tired of people with your empathy using the governments gun to steal from us to support your warped since of empathy.

It's rather funny watching you blather on and on about all the "needy" people out there, yet you don't blink an eye at taking away from me to take care of them.

Did you seriously just do a "BUT THE CHILDREN!" excuse?

As if the children are the one's being stuck with the bill and not the parents?

And what exactly do you think is going to happen here? Pregnant women are going to get turned away from hospitals and forced to give birth on the street?

You Leftists are such fricking morons.

The measure includes deep cuts to Medicaid and fundamentally reshapes that program from an open-ended government commitment to a system of capped federal payments that limit federal spending.
sounds good to me.

Medicaid achieves the same health outcomes as being uninsured. Not sure why we spend $1 on it.

What do they give to society? Nothing! What do they take from society? Our money! That is the definition of a leech!

I pity anyone who lives in a Medicaid bed in a nursing home. The only place connected to a nursing home Medicaid bed that is fit to live is the owner's palatial mansion.

Ya I know. I guarantee you she's not "empathetic" fricking at all. She only cares about getting paid.

Which is one of the reasons I loathe her more than anyone else on this board.

She will still get her cut.

The Senate Republican ObamaCare repeal bill would appropriate $50 billion over four years to try and stabilize ObamaCare’s exchanges.

Republican senators agree that the insurance markets are collapsing because of ObamaCare, but there have been disagreements over whether the markets need to be stabilized before the law is repealed.

The stabilization money, combined with the continuation of ObamaCare’s cost-sharing subsidies through 2019, could lead some conservatives to say the bill keeps too much of ObamaCare.

Can't afford to pay for children, then keep your zipper closed.

The disabled should have worked hard and paid for disability insurance.

Old folks in a nursing home shouldn't have to be paid for by tax payers. They should have prepared for the inevitable.

Or they should have trained their children to respect them enough to care for them in their old age.

It is a simple lesson that needs to be repeated over and over again.

Take personal responsibility for your own life. Plan and make provisions for whatever disaster may come your way.
Live within your means.

Here's my issue with you and BamaAtl.

I don't deny you guys have large hearts. BamaAtl serves hundreds of impoverished inner city black atlantans every year. I'm sure you do very nice things as well.

My issue is that you guys disqualify anyone from being "empathetic" or "compassionate" if they disagree with the political solutions that you guys favor.

Case in point: me.

I do not like to speak highly of myself often, but I am involved with a south orange county branch of miracle league, an organization that provides mentally challenged and severely disabled children a chance to play baseball. For the past 6 months, I have been working with the city of mission viejo and private companies/orgs to provide funds for the construction of a special baseball field for the kids of miracle league to play at. We are almost there in getting it completed.

But under your worldview, I am an immoral, hateful, and atrocious person because I do not support using the government to procure those funds for the building of that special baseball field.

How would you like it, haughton99, if I came up to you and asked if you were a christian? And if you replied no, then I make the blanket statement "you lack morality and a adequate ethical compass". You'd rightly be very upset at that proclamation, because being a christian is not the only avenue for being moral.

Yet according to you and BamaAtl, the only way to be empathetic in this world is to support the government provision of charity.

It's an unfair and deeply close-minded way to judge people.

Their parents. People need to be responsible for their own procreative proclivities.

Or the disabled?
Truly disabled and poor I'm fine with being on Medicaid. But the disability system in this country is rife with fraud and abuse. A whole lot of people out there who claim to be disabled but in reality would rather just go fishing than work. Hell, I'd rather fish than work, but I have millions of mouths to feed.

Again, truly disabled (in the sense of not able to hold a job) and poor I'm fine with Medicaid providing nursing home care.

What about MY KIDS a-hole. They deserve to go to college (which the fricking leftists have jacked up tuition to sky high rates) and see their Daddy. I don't want to have to work fricking 50+ hours per week every week just to pay taxes, put kids through college, and provide a reasonable house and normal lifestyle. frick you for hating my kids.

Even before the ACA, Medicaid covers half of all births in the US, a large minority of children, and disabled adults.

What kind of immoral monster wants to take that away? These aren't leeches, they're the most needy among us.

Half of all births? I hope that isn't true. Why the hell, in one of the richest nations on the planet can only half of it's citizens afford to pay for the birth of their kids?

Why should 1/2 be subsidized? I understand help for those in poverty and disabled adults but that isn't the case here (assuming your fact is correct).

I hope this is just some kind of free prenatal care thing and not the actual care for half of Americans born. That's insane.

Even non-profit hospitals can't operate in the red. Rural hospitals that rely on medicaid dollars will close their doors. Other hospitals will try to pick up the slack by providing pro bono care, but that ultimately gets passed along. It will affect all of our care and our premiums.
