But he made the mistake of saying "both in person and on TV". Someone told him to say it and he said it. Press Sec for him will be a long and stressful one at this rate. Lying just lie lie gets to people sooner or later.

That is exactly what he said and that is the absolute norm for what Obama & Co have done forever. They set the standard for saying something that 'seems' to be one thing but has the necessary weasel words to interpret it any way you want afterwards.
NOW - I actually HATE that shite. I hated it when the DEMs exploited it for as long as I can remember. But I hate it even more when someone on 'my' side does it. This was the one thing I could not support Trump for during the primary, and cringed when he did it during the general and absolutely hate it now that he is POTUS.
But any DEM who gets their nose out of joint about it can just go piss up a tree. You liars have been living off that for decades.
