Seems like the author is making a lot of assumptions?

I don't think you can reasonably claim that the opinions of a narcissist represent "modern feminists." Celebrities are megalomaniacs. They don't represent regular old people.

I don't even know what modern feminism even means, though. Feminism has pretty much lost all meaning at this point because everyone claims to be a feminist.

Respecting people regardless of gender is more important than whatever "ist" is trendy at the moment.

I don't, but some of the crap coming from these left-wing feminists lately has been insane. Comments about blowing up the White House, reciting idiotic poems, mistaking construction signs for swastikas, etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but your comment here seems to suggest that you feel some need to defend her. You know, by deflecting the issue on to those of us who have mocked her.

Yeah, she sacrificed having children. No man would want to be tied to that nasty woman through a child.

I especially love her bit about killing Jesus if she were to see him today.Really good stand up material there.

I really don't see how you could draw that conclusion. I don't think she's deserving of my brain space, or yours, or anyone else's. If that's your definition of defending her, then I guess I'm guilty.

I disagree that women can't be funny or good comedians. It is just the younger feminist stick that falls flat.

Joan Rivers and Phyllis Diller were big at stand-up comedy. Erma Bombeck, while not a stand-up act, was always a very funny guest on talk shows.

There are some decent female comedians, but they are few & far between. And when it comes to people who can do a routine spontaneously, like Jonathan Winters or Robin Williams, I've never seen a female who could really do that.

Not knocking women at all. Whether one believes in God, Nature, or whatever, it seems like every species or group (or gender) comes equipped with what they need. The funny thing is, God may have given men an enhanced sense of humor in order to help men attract women. It's a documented fact that women are more influenced by verbal communication, while men react more strongly to visual stimuli.

Women don't need to be funny. Women just need to BE.

Did Western Civilization not already do that before feminism?

Lucille Ball and Carol Burnett are two of the funniest people that ever lived.

Look at the bright side of this. Somewhere out there is a guy who would have met, fallen in love, and married this horrible man-hating shrew then regretted it the rest of his life had feminism not infected Silverman to the point where she wanted nothing to go with the guy before their relationship ever began. That man dodged a bullet.

Keep thinking that men and women are EXACTLY the same.

That's goofy beyond any reason, but you have a right to believe it. On the whole, men are much funnier than women. It simply is what it is.

I never said that. But I know many men that aren't funny, not sure they even try to be, they come across as a dull/drab and without any humor.

Your comment that women just need to be- well it just disgusts me.

She's bitter since Kimmel dumped her and had a baby with his comedy writer.
