Reagan has accomplished the same thing from the grave that Lewis has over the last 30 years.

Rush just quoted a mag piece that said Michelle Obama was the most fashionably dressed first lady in US history. Where do they get this? I think she dresses like a clown and Ringling Brothers is no longer hiring.

Just another small-government bro who can't appreciate the difference between being attacked by a nut job and being attack by armed, sworn agents of the state.

And yet, here we are.

They're trying to tie in Reagan to say that we don't treat him as above criticism even though he got shot and Lewis only got his skull fractured. Or at least I think that's the point.

It's a dumb point, as Lewis got beaten for being a black dude pursuing actual justice against government actors who hated him and others who looked like him. This, of course, followed a long history of awful treatment where people (in government and out) treated Lewis et al as though they were subhuman.

Reagan was shot by a nut, and while I agree that neither is above criticism, the comparison just isn't particularly good.
