It was brilliant.

Everyone but the NFL wins in this scenario.

BLM and kaep wanted attention, now they have it and it's front and center.

The issue is debated moreso than before.

The NFL will lose revenue overall for handling this like children looking the other way rather than proactively trying to find a solution for everyone involved.

Fans get their chance to decide if they will allow it or not.

Players get a chance to put up or shut up.

Now it's a ball game.

They wanted division, here it is. Let's see how it plays out.

At this point the one thing I believe that we can all agree on is the amount of protesters will explode tomorrow. Every week after will be the new variable to which the solution will be found.

I am too, I want it to get really nasty, Janet Jackson nasty. The more the merrier.

It's topic that's over a year past due to throw all the cards on the table and get this shite over with so we can all get back to some normal NFL games, hopefully with a new commissioner when all is said and done.

His QB went to Berkeley. What do you expect? They're a sensitive little bunch.

Well they don't have an "owner" given their unique situation but the team president did. You know he didn't do that wo the backing of the front office. The point is people around here want to think the owners back the flag worshippers, it's not really true. Much less than ever after this weekend.

The owners back him on this one. Several of them have already made that clear publicly (giants, dolphins, 9ers, Packers). Probably just the start.

My guess is all of the shitlib cities (Seattle, San Fran, LA, NY, DC, Miami, Atlanta, etc) will cave to the Social Justice Terrorists. And the owners who are struggling, Jacksonville and Buffalo.

Owners with successful ($$$ not Wins) franchises like Dallas, New England, Pittsburgh will side with America/Trump.

ALL of the owners are getting rich, all of them.

And the rich ones didn't get rich making a stand, they'll side w the almighty dollar, like they always have. If the pressure continues to shift onto Trump and against their superstars there hand will be forced as well. If you think Kraft, Rooney, or Jones give a shite about anything other than your money, you don't know anything about pro sports.

If forced to pick, they're going to side w their players.

This may be the dumbest thing I've read in awhile

Side with the players? Guys that are dumped every year when the fresh legs show up at camp? Guys like Kap and Johhny Football and Tebow? Guys that were locked out, and we still played with replacements?

Owners will side with the taxpayers who build the stadiums, the ticket buyers, the merchandise buyers, the TV watchers. And most of them are the 70% white males that voted for Trump, exactly because of the bullshite you see on Sundays

Some of the greatest athletes are people you never hear about. They got caught up on drugs, went to jail, flunked out of school, or lost interest early in life. Just because you know Kareem Hunt's name doesn't mean the games wouldn't be exciting with the next guy in line. Hell, Fran Tarkenton took teams to 4 Super Bowls, and he probably wouldn't even start today. Yet, people still watched when he did

Players are a dime a dozen

Their options are to make headlines out of this or to let it die. If they let it die, more people talk about Aaron Hernandez being diagnosed with CTE.

There is no way forward that is good for the NFL.

this... for every "boycott", someone else likes the NFL and its players more. they buy more tickets, they watch more games

If they tried to let this die, they'd have taken care of it quietly last year. They let it spread.

the players ARE the NFL... you fail to get behind them, and the product fails bc fans don't want to watch players who AREN'T the best in the world

and to the next post down, David Stern might be the GOAT commissioner for how the NBA grew under him

The tail doesn't wag the dog, but lessons start in the morning.

The players have the next move, 2/3 of their fan base isn't going to accept being antagonized for players protesting for trash like hands down michael brown or alturd sterling.

They can protest on their own time, keep it out of entertainment.

i'll laugh if the players do right like little angels the rest of the season, and the fans who boycott and walk out look like the bitches

and yes. you are a bitch if you notice a dude kneeling for the national anthem and get triggered. you came to see FOOTBALL, and that has nothing to do with FOOTBALL

Your imagination is flawed. If the players do right, the reaction will be minimal and short lived.

BTW, Bitches kneel like the cowards they are, its what they do.
