I'm starting to think that the special consular wants President Trump to fire him. Why else leak to the Washington Post about his investigating into the Russian hacks and now turning into investigating President Trump for obstruction?

Hiring Clinton lawyers who handled her Clinton Foundation and apparently defending his close friend X-FBI Director James Comey.

So that is why this looks like Robert Mueller wants President Trump to fire him to me.

And going after his son-in-law. It's personal now. But Trump has great composure....nothing will happen.

Didn't the WaPo very recently have a source that incorrectly said that Trump was under investigation?

Rosenstein released this statement today. The "leak" was probably more #FakeNews trying to set the narrative for when Trump is cleared.

Trump CAN'T fire Mueller.

Don't trumpkins ever wake up to truth and what special counsel and independent investigations are?

Hello...chain of command. Look it up.

Makes total sense. Accept the job that you want to be fired from.

Explain how the President can have that authority when the choice is under the purview of the DOJ AG.

Go on.

No doubt, there's nothing to investigate, but if Trump fires him then The MSM follow with their full out assault.

Because he's the president. As in, the head of the executive branch.

He can fire the DOJ AG as well.

Do you even understand our branches of government? Obviously not.

Is that why Nixon had to fire two AGs before he got one in there to fire Archibald Cox? Why didn't he just do it?

Why is that funny? The man has an incredible ability to look at the long term picture.

Because he tried to create the appearance that it was his AGs decision.

Nope. He asked AG Richardson to fire Cox, and when he didn't, Richardson resigned. Nixon then went to Ruckelshaus, who refused and resigned. He eventually found Robert Bork, promised him a Supreme Court seat, and Bork agreed to fire Cox and the whole staff of the independent counsel's office.

Meuller has found himself in the eye of the storm; and with what went on in DC yesterday...I think everybody is beginning to realize just how serious things can get...when the 'weak links' begin to snap.
