the British Sunday Telegraph reported that Saajid Muhammad Badat, a British-born al-Qaida informant, told authorities in court last week that he was aware of a long-standing plot by a group of Malaysians — one of whom reportedly was a pilot — to hijack an airliner.

The only problem with this line of thinking is that Al Qaeda is a sworn enemy of the U.S., not China or Malaysia.

Plus, we were led to believe that Al Qaeda is no longer a threat.

IDK what's more stunning. The fact an al-Qaida informant forwarded this information in court last week, or that you already got downvoted for the OP

Except that al-Qaeda's been working to help the Uighurs for a while.

This simply cannot be. I just watched Congressman Peter King emphatically state that there was absolutely no terrorism chatter in this region of the world whatsoever on a Fox News interview.

Link please? Whenever Osama bib Laden would issue his manifestos stating Al Qaeda's list of grievances, I don't ever recall him mentioning China and the Uyghurs.

Is this the same Peter King that said Rand Paul and Ted Cruz are out touch with the American people.

quote:

Seeking to unify anti-tea party forces, Rep. Peter King today will form a new political action committee, “American Leadership PAC,” to promote an alternative to staunch conservative Republicans such as Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Sen. Rand Paul, R-K.Y., he told ABC News in an interview.

“I want to create a presence for those like myself who feel Rand Paul and Ted Cruz are out of touch with the American people,” King, R-N.Y, said

Indeed it is. I'm all for a complete house and senate cleansing. Re-elect no one is my motto going forward. I don't give a shite who it is. An incumbent is not getting my vote. They've all collectively made a complete mockery of our democratic governing system.

I thought I read that the next target when we left Afghanistan for the Islamist was going to be China. They are the next big dog to come around in the region so will be treated likewise.

This came from someone like anwar al awlaki or something. Read it the other day. Will try to find the article.

Malaysian/Chinese hate the Malay/Muslims. You got a plane full of the former and a pilot of the latter. Makes sense.

October, 2009. Abu Yahya al-Libi (you know, the guy in whose name the Benghazi attack may well have been carried out).

"China: Al-Qaeda urges holy war to defend Muslims

Rome, 7 October (AKI) - A leading Al-Qaeda militant on Wednesday called on Muslims worldwide to defend Uighurs in China's restive northwestern region of Xinjiang. He told Uighurs to prepare for a holy war or Jihad and urged a "vast media campaign" to raise awareness of their fate at the hands of "oppressive" China.

In the video posted to jihadist websites, Abu Yahya al-Libi appeared to launch a frontal assault against China."
