Of course the media is not a check of power. The media is how the people find out about what's going on. Trump limiting who can come in and who can't is basically his way of ensuring bias and controlling the narritive. That isn't his job.

No, it's because there are a limited number of spaces In Any room and more than can fit want in. CNNs war with the White House has consequences, their slot will be filled by another media outlet. They shouldn't take orders from the DNC.
