Remember Lisa Durden from her appearance on the Tucker Carlson show?

I shudder to think that this woman is an educator.

College Professor Suspended Indefinitely After Appearing On Tucker Carlson

quote:

Political commentator Lisa Durden was suspended as a professor at Essex County College after she made an appearance on Tucker Carlson Tonight.

You may recall Durden sparring with Tucker Carlson earlier this month to defend Black Lives Matter not allowing non-blacks to attend their Memorial Day party in New York City. The interview was so bizarre that Carlson concluded it by calling her “demented.”

When she arrived on the New Jersey campus on June 8, two days after she appeared on Fox News, she was told to cancel her classes and report to Human Resources.

Durden was given a letter, signed by the vice president of academic affairs Jeffrey Lee, that said she was suspended “until further notice.”

“They did this to humiliate me,” Durden reacted. “Essex County College publicly lynched me in front of my students.”

While the letter didn’t directly mention her appearance on Fox News, administration officials brought it up to her in person.

This kind of language is so unnecessary and demeans the memory of people who actually were lynched - you know, the actual lynching where someone dies.

That racist hag really doesn't understand that she did it to herself. Essentially brought her own rope and threw it over the proverbial tree limb then kicked the ladder away.

She totally lost it. Her Twitter page got lit up by a ton of folks criticizing her and she lashed out left and right. I would guess her Twitter responses played a large role.

Ideology aside, that level of casually racist stridency does not belong in the classroom. And what makes it especially satisfying is that she was so positive she was the most clever person in history, and so used to just talking nonsensical bullshite , that she was shocked to be challenged. Scholarship is not ghetto street theatre.

The problem is they monetize hyperbole so they will continue to be hyperbolic. And by "they" I mean politicians especially left leaning politicians including people that contribute to left wing extremism like in the OP.

It's mind-boggling to me how so many "progressives," especially black ones, want to create black only "safe spaces" whatever the frick that means.

We had that between 1890 and 1960 - we called it segregation.

Adjunct instructor of communications at a junior college.

Host of her own talkshow on Public Access TV.

I'll give her this - she is a good self promoter. I'm actually one of the three conservative communications professors in the country and have published work. The most publicity I have ever received is a few radio and newspaper interviews when something happens within my scope of expertise.

Maybe I should start being more like Dr. Durden. Wait, she only has a BA from Seton Hall?
