Nope. He won it last year. I thought his speech was good but he seemed a little drained. Like he didn't get any sleep for 3 days.

And by a wide margin.

There's no doubt Rand is the GOP's best shot. He has a good message and outreach to new constituencies that the GOP needs to make gains with in order to win elections. He is also a principled man who will stick by his beliefs, and his track record proves it.

I really hope he gets the nomination. At this point I don't really see who else even comes close enough to be considered a viable alternative. Scott Walker maybe? Christie is done, Rubio is done. Santorum =

No one is "done" - it's early March of 2014.

I think Paul is the best hope to stop the 8-year nightmare from turning into a 12-year nightmare.

Of all the candidates, I could see him being the most effective at convincing people in the middle that the media's negative narrative concerning the GOP candidate is false. Imo, that's a huge factor, too, because the media uses their considerable clout to portray the conservative candidate in a negative way every time.

That was my biggest problem with Romney. He almost never fought back. You have to fight back. In Paul's case, I think the more people see of him, the more they will like him. Who knows? His candidacy just might cause a lot of generally unaware people to wake up to the truth about the extent of media bias in this country.

Rick Santorum still being that high is embarrassing with that many options. I can understand if your only choices were something like Christie, McCain, Susan Collins, Larry Craig, Billy Tauzin, John Alario... but there's much better options than that on the list.

Santorum is certainly not a guy I would ever vote for.

But he did come in second in the 2012 primaries, which means that just two years ago he had a decent number of supporters. It's not realistic to think some of those would not support him again.

I'd be good with that but it would get ugly. Would be fun to watch Hillary walk the "that's racist" line.

They will Uncle Time him, no doubt. But that will be a fine line to walk without losing the AA vote.
