The only reasonable assumption is they already have looked into everything and came up with empty. The IC has already admitted into plenty of investigating already. It would have came out already if there was really something to it.

First of all, the word "wiretapping" was in quotes. Trump was obviously talking about being monitored in any form or fashion. You know, you can't exactly recreate War & Peace in a tweet.
Let's be honest. It was either with Obama's knowledge, or else some other administration official probably went rogue. Either way, that doesn't look good for Obama.

Besides all of those news stories were out for months, highlighting the investigations into Manafort, Page, (can't think of the third). So then why make a fuss about "a Watergate level scandal" when it's been known, and it's not actually anything like Watergate?
