The one man in D.C. with a realist foreign policy who isn't a neoconservative or humanitarian interventionist.

If Trump wants to be a neocon warmonger, let him get primaried.

Rand isn't beating Trump and will only serve to hurt his chances in 2024

Agreed.

There are some issues with me that are not negotiable and will never ever be. This is one of them.

If Trump is willing to fall in with the neocons, then he deserves every bit of the backlash he gets from his base who didn't elect him to be a warmonger.

He has already stepped on his base with the AHCA and attacking the HFC in favor of the GOPe.

This is another step in the wrong direction.

You have to wonder though if Trump will want the job in 4 years.

Rand is a sell-out unworthy to wash the feet of Amash, a man with many of his own mistakes.

Everybody's rushing to judgement. There may not be any military action at all.

That's the reality of dealing with a separate branch of government and you have to be able to come up with a bill that can actually pass with the support of all wings of the GOP and still be as close it can get to a real repeal and replace.

However, Syria is foreign policy and something he has complete control over and nobody can force him, the President, to go to war in Syria. He's completely accountable to himself and his base on this issue and he's already showing them something they didn't vote for.

If the economy is in good shape, jobs are tricking up and up and there is a clean repeal and replace of ObamaCare with something good, he will have a very good shot at reelection.

We've been trending towards two termers for a generation for a reason.

This.

I wish he wouldn't take this path.

I'm all for as small a military footprint around the world as anyone, but the US can't stand by and do nothing when a foreign leader gasses his own people, particularly given the situation with refugees we have around the world.

If Trump gets us into a war in Syria he is fricked. There will be a legit primary challenge.

Democrats will be more than happy to use it against him. So so very stupid.

There will be if he goes to war and doesn't deliver domestically.

The US has no room to talk. They have an atrocious foreign policy and a history of despicable acts of their own.

The average neocon on this board wants every Muslim in the Middle East gassed.
