Interview on the Today Show

If accurate, that's sobering to say the least. My hope is for a health care act that reduces them, not increases them.

I wouldn't support a single health related bill until Obamacare is repealed and they start from scratch. It's as simple as that. They had the votes two years ago, but of course was vetoed. Republican president that ran on repealing and replacing Obamacare, not one congressional vote on simply repealing it. They don't want to repeal it. Glad Rand and the group stood their ground.

This was his mistake. He shouldn't have said anything about healthcare and when Obamacare finally died, then the Government would no longer be in the healthcare biz (except Medicaid) and the Dems would BEG Trump for a replacement.

Rs and Ds are all on the same government team, and they keep pushing the government bullshite.

Except for a few patriots like Jheri Curl Rand and Honest Ted, they're all the enemy.

Even Schumer is now begging from the floor for the R's to come to the table.

They need to wait it out and let Obamacare die under it's own weight. Once it is dead the R's can negotiate from a position of power instead of having to beg the Dims right now for scraps.

Either that or simply call a vote just to repeal. It's either repealed or its sets up the republicans who flip flop from all of the previous votes to be attacked by Trump and voted out by his supporters.

Why didn't they already have a bill from scratch ready? They've been campaigning on this for years.

Because they don't want to repeal it and never did in the first place. All for show for their "base".

There was no veto.
House passed bogus trash. Senate ignored their crazed asses.

I'm not sure what you mean. Republicans control both houses, the White House, and we have a majority of conservative judges in the SCOTUS.

If this isn't a position of power, then they're never going to have one. It sounds more like an excuse than anything else.

This is a classic case of dog catching car and having no clue what to do next.

Hopefully he can get enough people to force the bill to the dumpster where it belongs. Full repeal or nothing.

They don't have enough seats to repeal it so your talking point is moot.

Dog chasing a car is a simple and kind analogy. Obamacare is a 7-8 year old train that not only annihilated the train, but also miles of track and a host of cities along the way. You can try to rebuild using some of the same old train cars and tracks along the same route or build a shiny new system that goes another route - either way, it's going to be expensive.

The Democrats passed a horrible health care bill.

Instead of fixing it, the Republicans are saying "Hold my beer"
