And he’s making us all look like amateurs.

Here’s what we know: the Russian government hacked into political party servers early 2016, intent on releasing information that they hoped would influence the election.

As an avid reader of the WikiLeaks dumps throughout the election season, and as an initial undecided voter who was swayed towards Trump, at least in part, by the information revealed in those dumps, I am not saying the election should be reversed, or Trump shouldn’t be given full support as the rightful president-elect.

However, Russian’s un-checked infiltration into our political process should be frightening to all of us. Barrack Obama seemingly ‘sent a message’ to Russia warning them that meddling with our servers would result in consequences, but, nothing ever came of it (surprise, surprise), and now Russia knows they can continue to do the same to us, or our allies, with basically no repercussions.

Many insiders think Russian influence in social media is to blame for Austria narrowly avoiding electing anti-EU Norbert Hofner earlier this year. France has an election in 2017 where anti-EU Marine Le Pen is close to the front-runner in the polls. Germany has their Bundestag elections in 2017, and have already warned of a major campaign of Russian hacking. MI6 (British Intelligence) Chief Alex Younger has also conceded that they have seen the same thing in England, as well as across Europe, including France.

Face it: Putin wants a disorganized and disjointed West, and using tried-and-true hacking tactics, with no repercussions, is the sure way to influence countries to his liking.

I understand the Putin love from many stems from the fallout of eight years of having a mom-jean wearing, limp-wristed liberal nerd as president (if we’re being honest), but make no mistake; Russia is bullying us around, and it’s a disservice to all our countrymen who served in the Cold War to not take this threat for what is it.

I hope the right advisors can show Trump the light, and we hit Russia in the eye when they take advantage of us and our allies like this.

No, that's what you THINK from watching CNN all day. Lay off the fake news.

Just think... some comrade on TigerskDropinska.ru is writing a post warning about Americans hacking elections around the globe. There's as much evidence of that as there is your story in the OP.

Stop being a sheep.. we're all playing the same game. The countries you listed just suck at it

Yet not one person has willingly made this actual official claim with proof, wonder why?

And how exactly did Russia "hijack" the election in your opinion?

Everything else is just blah blah blah

Because this whole conspiracy theory is an engineered distraction from the content of the leaked emails, which is very damaging to the Democratic party and their media puppets.

I am not bothered by anyone releasing the truth on either party and don't consider it hijacking anything.

That being said I have no clue who got the info, however I am not the one going online and claiming I do have this info, you are

It used to be the media's job to reveal corruption before they climbed into the sack with both of the political parties.

Do you consider Woodward and Bernstein to be traitors?

Assange said yesterday that the Wikileaks emails did NOT come from the Russians.

I suspect they came either from a white hat within the intelligence community or from a whistleblower within the DNC.

I suspect that as well but don't know, I become more convinced of it every time I read another report claiming anonymous sources though.

...from years of mismanaged and careless information security and likely a DNC party insider. A particular party's ineptitude when it comes to securing their information is not my or the taxpayer's problem.

That doesn't matter though. The DNC has not denied that the emails leaked are real. Their corruption, rigged elections, and collusion with mainstream media personalities is inexcusable. That's what the Democratic party is trying to deflect from by pushing these conspiracy theories (with no evidence, BTW).

It's hilarious how Democrats are suddenly concerned with information security after supporting a candidate that setup an unsecured home server to avoid FOIA requests.

Doesn't matter either way.

What concerns level headed people out there are the content of the leaked emails. Had there not been evidence of corruption, collusion with the media, or rigged primaries....the leaked emails would NOT have done any real damage.

Wikileaks just exposed the Democratic party.

And I agree, which is why this has no bearing on whether or not the election was rigged; it wasn't. Trump will be sworn in on 20 Jan, and he should be.

What troubles me, as an American, is that Russia feels no repercussions from us, or our allies, when it is blatantly attempting to influence, or at least cause havoc, on our political process. Obama did nothing in the face of Russian encroachment, in Syria, and now this. And I'm afraid Trump either doesn't have all the information, or fails to see Russia for who they really are.

I just want some other patriots to stand their ground instead of failing to see that Russia is in no way our ally, and are attempting to get one up on us.

The issue is you are blaming someone and wanting repercussions yet have ZERO PROOF they were even involved.

They have never pretended to be our ally silly, and if they did have this info I would 100% expect them to use it to whatever advantage they see fit.

Newsflash: We would have done the same exact thing given the opportunity.

And that would be valid if there were actual evidence that Russians hijacked the election.
