What laws have the House successfully passed cutting corporate taxes? None that I know of.
What laws have they passed that would effectively deal with the deficit?
Besides, higher taxes are something they ideologically oppose. Why "blame" them for not passing laws they are opposed for? Makes no sense.
Then where is their detailed plan to cut spending? Where is the House leadership?
You should "blame" the party that you ideologically align with that isn't getting the job done.
I have never found a party that Ialigns with me ideologically, that is why I have NEVER been affiliated with any political party. Since day 1 my party affilitation on my voter reg. card has said: n/a.
But further, given that the WH and Senate wield far more power
Except that they DON'T when it comes to fiscal matters.
I mean... Reagan implemented much of his agenda over a hostile congress. How?
People seem to forget that the Republicans controlled the Senate for a period during Reagan's tenure.
He was a strong and persuasive leader.
And here it is.
Republicans seem content to do absolutely NOTHING for SIXTEEN MOTHERfrickING YEARS (!) while the country goes bankrupt as they wait for the Second Coming.
It's ironic to hear Republicans cry about a lack of leadership, when that is the very problem their party has when it comes to either:
Nominating a competant leader for the Executive Office
Deciding that since the other party has poor leadership, taking the leadership roll and getting shite DONE.
How long can you sit back and cry about how the other guys won't tell you what to do effectively enough before you decide that the ramifications are too important, and shite needs to start happening NOW?
You blame the lack of Republican leadership on the lack of Democratic leadership? Nice. No wonder we are where we are.
